You didn’t mention the plugs. Did you replace the plugs at the same time as the wires?

How are you checking for spark? With a spark tester?

+1 on the plugs, cap and rotor.

Did you check for vacuum leaks prior?

Whats the mileage on the motor?

I believe this was in another thread and I recommended replacing the distributor cap and rotor. Make sure you use dielectric grease on the wires and cap gasket

Personally I’d replace the plugs, cap, rotor, and wires all at one time if I needed to do any of them. It might be alot more money but it also is worth it.

Given that this happened after you replaced the wires I think it’s worth checking your firing order again. If you have just 2 wires switched it can cause a condition like you describe.
