I have a 2000 grand am 3400
Car ran fine yesterday it was hard to start like it had a almost dead battery after a couple try’s turning the key it started later that night same thing. went and got new battery cleaned cables.it still seemed to be like a dead battery so I hooked a big charger to it that has a start feature and it still wouldn’t turn over. went and got new starter guy at work said that must be it new starter same thing happens but if I go under the car and use screw driver on starter it turns over and only runs for a second and shuts off. now seems more the half the time of turning key to start position nothing happens at all. go from off to start a couple times and it turns over a couple revolutions and stops to nothing.. car has mpi immobilizer and factory security system has been disabled. please help

turns out I had t pull my dash apart and remove the mpi immobilizer and now it works fine thanks for all that helped I eliminated the problem step by step till that and sure enough was a lot of hard work to remove it but it works now…
