      2000 subaru outback..crank no start… test no spark? any idea what it could be…replace coil pack assembly though that was what it was. still no start…

        check power to the coil pack, check plug wires, plugs.

          More info needed. Fuel pressure? Check engine light? Does this car have a tachometer? If it does, does it show rpm of any kind when cranking?

              You need to check and see if you have a primary signal getting to the coil negative. If you don’t have a signal there then the problem is on the primary ignition side which could mean a bad igniter or crank/cam sensor. This video is on a different vehicle but the principal is the same.
