Hello everyone, this is my neighbors pathfinder. Cranks but Won’t start, bottom line is that Consult module cannot connect to immobilizer during assigning key ect, it appears disconnected @ a PC Consult app. Other interchangeable immobilizer and BCU as well transponder was try and no luck. Any feed back would be appreciated, last of events. He bought a new remote from flea-bay and he said he remotely program it. He has already spend almost .5k moving the car from shop to shop. thanks for any replies.

when you crank the vehicle is the red immobilizer
light blinking? is the check engine light on? Have
you tried a different key? The key being used is a
        factory key?

Thanks “college men” for taking time to reply, but yes the immobilizer light blinks. Cannot reply with a precise answer regarding check engine light because the car does not idles due to just crank. The key is original within the keys he uses. He can activate lock and deactivate lock remotely but that’s it, if he leaves car with battery it start randomly the alarm. If we go back as mention before, maybe we can attach an event due to problem which was he remotely program a fleabay beeper. Which at this moment works with other original beepers. My 2 cent maybe a com wire on the hand-shake.

Are you absolutely sure the no start issue is because of the immobilizer? I don’t know much about Nissans immobilizer, and surely if aftermarket equipment was hooked up there could be some wiring issues/conflicts…. Perhaps remove the aftermarket equipment completely and check all the wiring connections that were opened to do this.

Also, Check for fuel in the vehicle, spark and perhaps fuel pressure maybe ensure the cam is turning (the belt is still intact)…… Sometimes it is the simple things we overlook when we focus on just one area….. It would be a relief if it were something simple like a fuel pump or grounded fuel injectors…

            Just my 2 cents….

Just a question but does this car have a aftermarket remote starter on it?

I may have misunderstood your post. I thought there was something aftermarket added.

Thank you guys for feed-back, regarding after market was just a beeper which was program remotely from fleabay. He change started but would not start just crank, somebody from Nissan dealer try to connect with the correct module call Consult for Nats. The dealer reply that module on dealer side was bad, module cannot connect nor recognized/detect inmobilizer, he took Pathy to old men on the road. At this time they change transponder at key area he got from junker, BCU, Inmobilizer and luck. It is just that inmobilizer is not reachable throughout Consult module. Now he bought it to another guy and nothing so far, my feeling is a wire some where whether is comm or voltage.I think only consult 2 works for these pathy, this model of pathfinder tends to damage some component within ignition which is clear. As long the security light is on there will be no power to ignitions, which show at not being able to connect to inmobilizer to program new key or existing key check or any other code from nats.

I believe there is a key reader in the ignition. It may be open
                    or shorted.

That is call transponder, which reads key chip, but was change and is good. Thanks big guy,
