have a 1997 Nissan pickup xe. 2.4 liter auto tranny. heater core leaking is there anyway to remove heater core without taking out dash.

Not as far as I know. The job is 4.5 hour. At least it is not a complex interior back in those days

No, I don’t believe you can. If you don’t want to fix it right away you can always bypass the heater core. You can do this by routing the hoses going to the heater core together or just loop one of the hoses back to the engine at the other hoses inlet. That can buy you as much time as you need. Thing is, you won’t have any heat at all.
