      Do I use my 3m silicone paste or 3m copper paste on the Outer surfaces of my front disc pads that will touch the caliper ???

        You can use either, but I prefer the silicone paste on the pad backing plates and guide pins. I usually only use the copper paste on screw threads. As long as you don’t use lubricants or greases containing petroleum products on brakes, you’re golden.

          What he ^^^^ said and on areas where pads sit on bracket. Where little square cutouts in pad plate are. Old cars don’t but new ones have little spring loaded clips there that always look like crap. They need to be removed, cleaned with spray cleaner and toothbrush, reinstalled and lubricated. Yes, you’ll get some grease onto rotors during that but it’s OK.
