Hello All. This is my first post on this site. My name is Bob and I am currently in Pine Ridge Florida. I am working on a 1954 Ford F-100 that I have had for a couple of years. I am looking for advise and information on my latest project for the truck which is to remove the original 223 six and 4-speed granny gear transmission and install a 302 with a T-5 manual transmission. I just finished rebuilding the T-5 with the help of the video that Eric and Paul Cangialosi made and posted to you-tube. The video was very helpful and informative. My next move will be to locate a 302 or 351W that won’t break the bank. My big question for now is finding a 302 that will be compatible with my T-5. The transmission and bell housing came from a 1990 Mustang with a 302. Will this bell housing bolt up to any 302 or 351W or do I have to find a certain engine? If anyone knows what I should be looking for It would be very helpful.
