Hey guys! Been a long time watcher of the youtube videos. I’ve checked out the forum once before but never really came back. I may be here to stay this time, i decided to sign up. I’ve been in the automotive industry for 5 years now and worked in two different shops. One was a mom and pop and one was a larger chain. May not be long but you learn a ton in the first half year on the job! I’m self taught/learned on the job and continue to learn. One of my largest interests in automotive is electrical and electrical diagnosis. I’ve also recently been interested in becoming a residential electrician, so it fits in my interests well! I also enjoy general diagnostics and engine type work. Replacing parts is fine for a bit but it gets monotonous, i like a challenge. I worked on a race team at a local track as a mechanic some years back which was fun, but didn’t return after the first season due to a lack of funds to get into the track with the team. Yup, gotta pay to put on a show! I’ve also worked on motorcycles but i guess this forum is mostly cars. I went to college for IT work and also work on bicycles professionally. I guess you could say i try to do it all, in the name of saving money. I enjoy working with my hands and when i’m not doing that i’m fishing. I don’t know what else to really say besides… I’m going to go for a jaunt around the forums and familiarize myself with them.
