+1 with having the wheels re-balanced. And 619Dio was spot on regarding the static and dynamic balancing. I just replaced a tire the other day at the shop and only put the weights on one side.
May 6, 2012 at 11:00 am #450356+ one to all.
They admited to not kocking the dirt lose. The kid said he did not think it of it causing a problem.
I hate walmart but I was real nice and told them the issue.
They gave me no hard time and rebalanced the tires. Right away I noticed aMay 6, 2012 at 11:00 am #450357No one posted how they wear doing so you all fail!!!! Lol. Thanks again.

May 6, 2012 at 11:00 am #450348If the tires got balanced with mud in the treads. The balance will be off once the mud falls out.
Take the truck back and get them rebalanced for free.Tell the service guy theres a shake that
was not there before the tires were done. have all 4 redoneC8-)May 6, 2012 at 11:00 am #450349Even if the tire had a bad spot in them (Out of round or broke belt) Walmart should have said something right?? They have tools to check for that right.
The tires look like they are fine other then the weights going around them.
I think maybe this is issue is due to a young kid not know 100% of what he was doing.
May 6, 2012 at 11:00 am #450350Thanks collage man will do.
May 6, 2012 at 11:00 am #450351Iv changed a few tires in my time but im no pro. When I worked at the dodge dealer the machine told us wear to put the weight and if it need to be on the inside or outside of the rim. This guy put the weights all on the outside. Iv never done a tire and the machine tell me to put all the weights on just the outside.
May 6, 2012 at 11:00 am #450352The tires are discovery cooper p265 75r15.

Hey guys. First off How is everyone? Please post.
The other day I add a flat at low speeds. 30mph.
I could not find any used tires here in Nd.
I have 265 / 75 /R15s on my truck. Just one tire new is 165$ at walmart. They all kinda need replaced. (been on the truck for 100k+)
I went to a salvage yard looking for a part for my brothers truck and found a truck just like mine with a new set of tires on it. The fronts wear at factory specs. The rear steal had 90% left. All the tires wear aired up. and looked good.
I asked them man how much for the set. He said 200$. He will stand by them.
Today I had walmart put the tires on. At first they felt fine. until I got around 70 or 65 and I started picking up a verry bad front end skip. wheel shake.
The tires had clumps of mud all threw the groves.
The kid did not bother to kock the mud lose or anything.
There is some major weights all together in one spot I say 2/5 of the tire have weights in one spot.So I did know what to do. Do yall think i got riped off on the tires? What should I do.
Let me get this straight. You bought 4 used tires already mounted on rims that fit your truck? from the salvage yard? and took them to Walmart to have Walmart put them on your truck as purchased from the yard? or to have Walmart mount the tires on your rims? and balance them? and then mount them on your truck?
May 6, 2012 at 11:00 am #450354There are two ways to balance a tire – static balance and dynamic. which setting the balancer was set to will determine whether weights go on one side of the rim or both. I would have the tires rebalanced.
May 8, 2012 at 11:00 am #450360I’m a bit confused too but since it sounds like this issue is resolved I think we’re in the clear.
