New Infiniti G37 Oil Change Recommendation

Okay,

How often do I change the oil… I am thinking every 5,000 but when new I am planning to step it up doing 1,000, 3,000, 6,000, 10,000, 15,000, 20,000 etc.

When it was new, it had 22 miles on it off the LOT. It calls for API SM (or newer) doesn’t state Conventional or Synthetic or anything like that in the manual.

Here is what I am thinking:

22 Factory Fill (probably conventional)

1,000 First Oil Change with a Good conventional oil (i.e. Mobile 1 Super 5,000)

3,000 Second Oil Change with a Reasonably Inexpensive Synthetic or Hybrid (i.e. Mobile 1 Super Syn Good for 7,500)

6,000 By now the engine should be broken in…. Third oil Change with the Full Synthetic (i.e. Mobile 1 Advanced Full Synthetic – Good for 10,000)

10,000 Fourth Oil Change Same Advanced Full Synthetic…

15,000 … Same

NEVER Planning on using any High Mileage for fear it may swell the seals… unless it starts to leak.

^^^^ Is the above reasonable, or would you just dump the Mobile 1 Advanced Full Synthetic in it form oil change #1???

This is a topic that will get alot of different answers.
My opinion is full synthetic of your choice changed at
7500-8000 miles. if you use conventional oil.5,000

DO NOT CHANGE THE OIL FOR THE FIRST TIME AT 1000 MILES. Check your owners manual. The first oil that is run through the engine has special additives in it to help with break in, if you change it early, you won’t break the engine in properly. ALWAYS check the owners manual when looking for answers like this. The engineers and legal departments spent a lot of time putting those together. Follow the manufacturers recommendations when it comes to oil type and change interval.
