Hi everyone, I’m Paul. I’ve been binge watching videos and Eric mentions the forum a lot so I thought i’d join. I’m not a car tech, i’m an appliance repair guy, but i’ve been into cars my whole life. I’m starting my own random old Ford project, a 1987 Econoline. Nothing really wrong with it, i just want to work on something and it’s taking up space in my driveway. I do some autox racing in a RX8 R3, i have an old Mazda 323 GTX (the 4wd turbo one), but there’s nothing broken on either of those. Yes, even the RX8 if you can believe that.
Anyways the van project is something I want to build that will make sense to nobody, but i’ve had it my whole life (parents bought it new). I want to build it into a tow vehicle/road trip van capable of towing a car trailer and car. Mainly I want to learn skills required to build/restore cars, and this is the sacrificial free project car. Hopefully I don’t lose too much blood.
