Hello all, I have really enjoyed reading everyone’s post and have tried to pitch in when I could. I was a full time mechanic from 1972 to 1983. I started repairing forklifts of all types then moved to cars. I was certified at the time but back then it was NASE certification, they dropped the ‘n’ a little later on. I decided it was too hot and too physically hard so I went to electronics school. I have been repairing Medical equipment since 1983. At least it is in the air conditioning. I now run the repair shops at 5 hospitals 4 surgery centers. I also now have a degree as a computer network analyst I earned at night while working full time. I have 6 cars that I maintain. One for my wife, three for my daughters, one for me and one that sits in the driveway due to a small accident. I am not afraid to tackle any car repair although that sometimes proves to be a mistake. Most of my cars are old beaters that my girls are embarrassed to drive. I had three kids in college so I have to keep the budget low. Anyway I will be looking for the old school cars that I worked on and pitch in where I can.
