Hey folks,
Great site and forum. Read a lot here and watched just about every ETCG video. Finally registered for the forum today, with a question I posted about a Civic I’m working on.
I’m on a couple GM truck forums and that’s mostly what I work on. I’m not a mechanic, but am mechanically inclined, and enjoy it. I live in a rural New Brunswick, Canada.
Here’s a few pics of my truck. It’s a 1996 Chevrolet K2500 (4×4), 5.7 Vortec, 4L80E, 14 bolt 9.5″ rear with 4.10s, dual straight piped exhaust, more or less stock. It’s my daily driver/worker, and a project. Was really ugly (rust, not looked after) and quite a few issues small when I bought it, but have straightened most of them out.
Replaced the alternator, fuel pump, did a complete tune up, brakes, lights and some other minor issues. I also got new front fenders, both bumpers, new doors, tailgate, a custom backrack, and a lot of odds and ends. Currently completely redoing the interior, switching from an ugly, weathered blue to a nice, neutral grey offered from the factory.

Owned a few of these trucks (4, more or less, all 1996 Chevies), and my long term project is a ’49 Willys Overland pickup.
