New disc and drum brakes for 2005 Civic LX – grinding feeling in pedal

Greetings all!

2005 Honda Civic LX. I replaced the front disc brakes and rotors about two months ago, and the rear drum brakes about 1 month ago.

1. When I make a hard/firm stop, no problems – the brake pedal feels normal.
2. When I make a softer, easier stop, the brake pedal feels normal until I drop to about 5 MPH, then the pedal “feels” like a grinding sensation (at least, from what my foot tells me). This happens sometimes, but not always.
3. When I try to brake using just the rear brakes (I.E. pulling the e-brake handle) the handle feels fine, for what this test is worth.

Any ideas on this?
