New Clutch for my GSR

      Hi All.

Always followed Eric’s advice when he says “Buy this part from Acura/Honda dealer”. So I’m looking for input if a clutch kit would be one of these instances for my 96 Integra GSR? (but my dealer will be WAY more expensive so why waste money!)

I am not after “dude bro – stance nation – magazine cover” stuff. Just want a good solid shift and something close to stock. Car isn’t a racer or street demon or daily driver. Just my weekend summer ride with the roof open 🙂 Also, don’t want to be doing clutches every year 😛

Looking right now at the Exedy KHC05 – Is this kit what I am looking for?

Although I don’t have any direct Honda/Acura experience with clutch kits, I’ve always used quality aftermarket kits and have had no issues. Are you also going to replace the flywheel? If so, I like to get the flywheel from the same manufacturer as the clutch kit.
        As always YMMV…

I think the flywheel should be in good shape. The clutch isn’t chattering and was only starting to slip when warm (drove great when cool). Car still drives I just didn;t want to push it.

I might have the flywheel checked at a machine shope when I get it out. Car is about to put away for the “long winter nap” If it needs to be swapped I agree, it would be good to go with the same manufacturer.
