Hello Eric, I’m new here on ETCG… Thanks for your how-to videos, I’ve benefited from them in the past. Here’s my current issue:
I own a 2005 Chevy Equinox LT FWD, & I recently replaced the rear brakes (drums, shoes, cylinder, & springs). After completing the brake job, I noticed the E-brake is not as tight as it used to be. It used to be tight at about 6-8 clicks. Now, it just pulls all the way up. What I’ve done so far is put the rear on Jack stands, wheels spin freely. I pull up one click then I tightened the nut located just under the e-brake handle. It locks the rear wheels, but this doesnt seem to have done much. Am I missing a step?
Any help or video greatly appreciated. Thanks.
      PB

It’s imperative that you adjust the rear brakes properly for the parking brake to work properly and to have good pedal feel.
