Hey Y’all Ive returned after a hiatus. I finally came into a diesel its an older Ford F250. It has a 6.9 IDI out of an 87. The truck is set up on dual batteries. The previous owners switched the glow plugs over to manual control but that seems to be the only real mod on the truck. The owner decided to replace the head gaskets and stripped the motor down to the heads but has ran out of time to build the engine back up. All the parts are there including new gaskets and valve covers. Ive got a roommate now with a lot more mechanical inclination then myself but were not so in tune with diesels. My question is would the Haynes Diesel repair manuals be a good enough assist or do any of you know where I can get a pdf
