anyone know were the neutral safety switch is located on a 1997 nissan pickup. 2.4 liter automatic

Should be on the transmission at the transmission end of the shift cable.

Here is what the part looks like, on my car its bolted to the transmission, don’t know if it would be the same for you or not, but my guess would be it is, and if it looks like this part my guess is follow the lincage or cable to your gear selector and see if you can find this part.
