1998 Plymouth Neon Highline Coup
2.0L DOHC MTX 129,000 milesI am missing what to me looks like a mini shock that mounts with a bolt that goes through 2 holes in a bracket that is welded in the middle of the cross member where the front stabilizer bar mounts. It has a shaft like a shock shaft has that goes up to a bracket mounted to the transmission with a single 1 – 2 inch hole where it mounts with a couple bushings above and below the hole with a washer and nut on top. Without this part the engine, transmission and drive axles have no stability with the engine running.
What is the name of this part? I need to get one. Should the car be driven without it or should I wait until I install a new one. Should I find a new one or just get a used one? Does anyone have one sitting in a “junk”
box looking to rid themself of it?Thanks for the help
