I have an ac delco 3.5 ton floor jack that just recently ran into issues. When trying to lift my moms van to do an oil change the jack would not lift under load. It will lift all the way up if there is no load put on it but as soon as it has some type of load it will not lift it at all. I did have a leak on the valve for the power sending unit which was from an oring that got gnarred up and I did replace it but that fixed nothing.

The farthest I have gone with taking it apart is removing the yoke and that valve to replace the oring. Is it possible that something else inside the jack is broken or is the entire jack garbage?

I there’s oil in the jack, it’s possible one of the internal seals or a different part is gone.

If it’s a consumer grade jack, it’s probably not worth repairing. You could call around to try and find someone to repair it, but I would guess that the repair would easily eclipse the cost of replacing it.
