Where is it at? Heard of an upper and a lower thermostat. Had some overheat issues on the way home from thanksgiving trip…bt 600 miles. Got it home after a couple stops. Im sure its the thermostat but following the upper radiator hose leads to three different housings. 1 for each bank and the end at the block. Just looking for some experience here before I go making a mess. Thx all.

What engine is in it? If it’s a 4.6 L it’s in the housing where the lower rad hose connects to the engine.

The reason Ford installs it there is because it has reverse cooling. The coolant flow is opposite to what we are used to. It’s much more efficient.

And you’re very welcome. Ask for help here anytime.
