I never came across something like this. I own a Honda Accord 1993 runs great except i am missing the wires to the Throttle Position Sensor. I search around the engine and cannot find it. It causes my idle to stay at 2000 rpms. Any Suggestions?

Wow.. I have to ask, how did you arrive into this situation where a major sensor is completely missing it’s wiring..?!?!?

Have you always had this problem or is it recent? Have you done any work to this car recently? If so I would retrace my steps and see if something was missed.

Do you see any broken or shredded wires around the wiring harness?

i just got the car looking into it the owner before me did a lot of cheap jobs to it i dont see anything wrong with the harness but i think that would be my next step to check

If you bought this car in this conditon the previous owner may have cut them to remove them. Why? I would have no Idea. Look for cut wires in the wiring harness. If they tried to do this to cover up another issue the cut wires maybe under some black tape or hidden in the loom.

Your vehicle is not supposed to have a TPS.

If they have been cut off you will need to getting a wiring diagram so you can figure out what wire goes where. It will also tell you what color combo you need to look for. Something sounds off…

                      Found this online. http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/371101349022?lpid=82

At least if you find the cut wiring you can replace the pigtail.

From the picture you can see the wire coloring that you need to find in the harness.

Eric has a nice article on solving Honda idle issues here.

The other ends of the wire may have retracted into the harness. You might have to dig them out.

Is there any way you can post a pic for us?

I think in this situation that would help a great deal.
