I finally fixed those suspension knuckle bushings that were troubling us for months with help from a friend (who’s an auto tech at a local dealership) While I was taking care of that, he went ahead and ran an OBD scan with his diagnostic tool and found these:

      (Airbag System)
      B1476 – Ignition 1(A) Voltage Extraordinarily Low
      B1477 – Ignition 1(B) Voltage Extraordinarily Low
B1491 – F. Airbag (2) Passenger Squib Open [Pass. Airbag (2nd detonator) Open Circuit]
      U1073 – Bus-off
      (Engine/PCM Systems)
P0421 – Warm Up Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)
P0401 – Exhaust Recirc. Flow Insufficient (had almost as long as we’ve had the car – since ~Nov. 2014)
P0442 – Evaporative Emission Control Sys. Leak (small leak)

I’ve looked into the PCM codes, and they all sound minor, one or more could be solved by cleaning out the EGR valve. The only concern I have is this car has to make a cross country trip soon (Illinois to Arizona – ~1,800 mi?) It doesn’t sound too bad, but is there something more serious I could possibly be missing– aside from the disabled airbags?

I can’t find alot on the b codes. With the u1073 bus off that would say to me the communication
is off most likely causing/contributing to all the other b codes. You have some electrical issues
going on. A detailed electrical diagram will be needed to troubleshoot this or a good electrical shop.

Your b1476 and b1477 codes are probably fuse related. The b1491 code is a good amount more serious though. The squib in your airbag is the actual material that gets ignited and inflate the airbag. What this code is saying is the wiring to the squib is open so the squib isn’t receiving any power. Normally when I see this code it’s for the drivers side and that normally points toward a clock spring. With this code id defiantly get it checked out or if you are mechanically inclined enough check it out yourself. This could also be a blown fuse. And with the U1073, sadly I would have to say you are probably mistaken, the bus most likely is off either due to two things; the codes that have been set are critical enough for the module to power down, or there is a blown fuse. I’d really check them fuses if I was you. Oh and P0421, you need a new cat. Pretty much no way around that one unless you want to try to clean it but that really never works.
