So i am doing an engine swap on an automatic 95 honda civic, i entirely forgot about the shifter linkage that goes from the tranny into the shifter console inside the car. So nevertheless I tore it and had to chop it at the base where it enters the transmission. I wont be using this engine or tranny again but I noticed that all engines from engine depots come with that cable chopped. How to I connect the cable (new cable) into the new tranny? Do I have to replace the cable all the way from the console out? How is it connected into the tranny? I have attached a pic and you can see the cable I am referring to right next to the axle, its chopped. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
