NEED HELP ON A HEAD SWAP!

I have a 02 Tahoe LM7 5.3, and I’m upgrading my cam to a BTR stage 2 and ls6 lifters and springs that will work with my stock heads ( which are cracked ) I was gonna get the same replacement heads…. BUT my buddy of mine said that heads off a ls6 would work? Cast number 243. If it does work, would I need different headers or a different head gasket? Any advice would be amazing

I doubt you’ll find much help here, but your best bet is to head over to LS1tech and shoot them an inquiry on the forums.

I’ve read plenty of threads on there similar to your build where people have made budget drag engines using iron Vortec blocks and LS heads/cam/intake.
