So you have a multiple cylinder misfire, but then after a couple drive cycles the MIL goes off but of course there is the code still there. Does it ever come back? Either something is causing enough cylinders to misfire at once that the ECM can not determine which exact cylinder is mysfiring or there is a problem with the signals.

$ is a boolean value meaning it has no value .this means the component ID cannot be read. You are better off stating what your issue is and having people try and help. ob make model year engine. I would do a new post though.

Jasonw1178 The mil comes and goes but either set or pending the P0300 code remains and now some times brings a buddy like a P0302 or 305 and now it has added a (not at the shop so cant remember the exact code but was something along the lines of MAP or MAF signal range) so a connection I assume but that is new and probably from me poking around.

You have a code for random misfires. Pull out a couple of sparkplugs and see what they look like. I have seen a few of these vans that set the random code instead calling out individuals cylinders. I have even seen misfires on the scanner but the mil light does not light up. Make sure you pull one from the rear bank because I have also seen where people only changed the easy plugs and the rear plugs have 150,000 miles on them and have a 3mm gap.

If the plugs are Bosch spark plugs, take out and throw away replacing them with Champions.Bosch spark plugs do cause misfires in Chrysler products.Would not hurt to do a compression check on those two cylinders as well.
