i have a 2002 jeep grand cherokee and i need to replace the computer but the parts store is giving me a p5604190aa and the part i need to change is p56041905ad so is there a difference between the aa and the ad that i have already thank ya.

make sure the part you get is the part the actual computer lists. Goto a bone yard and pull a computer with the same number

If I’m not mistaken the ad is an upgrade with newer software than the aa, it may need to be taken in to the dealer to have it re flashed with the updated software. Hope you haven’t purchased it yet. Why do you need a new one?
I would call the parts department at the dealer and ask if they have your part number in stock, then ask what the difference is between the part numbers. They should be able to tell you for certain.

no bone yard has one in a 300 mile radius and the dealer wants 400 dollars i put a scanner on it and its giving me a p601 code
