I’ve got a 2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. When I came out to the car yesterday, the nav system was on.. I tried starting and turning the car off, once I turn it off the nav screen turns off as well, but less than 30 seconds after it gradually flickers back on then stays on. I’ve also pulled the battery connection over night to see if it would correct it, it did not work. Some factors to include; I changed the headlights a few days prior when it was snowing, I tried to ensure no snow got into the connection.. But you never know. Also, The mats inside of my car are very damp/wet from the line of work I’m in, causing a noticeable amount of condensation all over the windows.

If anyone had any troubleshooting tip for this problem, I’m all ears. Not looking forward to paying for electrical work..
      -Thank you-

[Edit] Extra info: Now my cars passenger side blinkers are staying on as well while the car is off, and are on solid while it’s running. They do no blink but I can hear the relay hyperblinking..

You’ll need to track down the power circuit for your NAV
A wiring diagram will be useful here.
Might see if this is of any use to you..

        As to wet connections..
Try blowing them dry with compressed air and use some die-electric grease to prevent corrosion.

Sounds like a short, not sure if the 2 issues are related but, if you have a tow package installed might look at the trailer harness wiring.

Good idea, I checked it out last night and without a doubt that was part of the problem. There were a couple inches of water under the panels in the back corners of my trunk… removed all the water with a shop vac and sprayed the connections out with air. Also put some Damp-rid in a few different areas in the car to try and remove some excess moisture.
[b]No longer have solid lights on the passenger blinkers.

After clearing out the water from trunk under the panels, I’ve placed a dehumidifier in the car overnight the last couple nights. The NAV system now turns off while the car is off. Either solved by getting rid of a lot of extra moisture in the air or by simply ensuring all connections in back were dry and then reconnecting them.
Thank you for the help guys
