      I am looking for the name of the part that is seen to be leaking oil in this picture. If it helps, this is on a 2002 Honda Civic Coupe.

        Is that the rack-and-pinion? Only thing I can think of in that area that has fluid.

          The steering rack is just outside of that boot and below. It’s hard to imagine how it would be able to get fluid up the shaft and then to the outside of the boot but what about the clutch master cylinder, if there is one on this car? It looks like this is an automatic transmission car though.

          Is the steering shaft wet with fluid too?

              The leak seems to from the top. There are cases where brake servo diaphragm breaks and gets brake oil into the cabin.

              How is the brake pedal pressure? Spongy or hard?

                That would be brake fluid. The master cylinder is shot. If you don’t have a weak pedal now, you will soon.
