Anyone have any idea what this things for? I picked up a tray of old rust tools at my favorite flea market today for a slide hammer that was in it. There also were 2 feeler guage sets, one’s a Blue Point, the other I can’t make out. There were a bunch os sockets that were there that I assumed when I glanced at them were older Snap-on, but turned out to be OLD Craftsman. Just about everything is covered in a moderate rust. I’m pretty sure I can salvage the feeler guages and the sockets are in usable shape. I might need to try some electrolysis in the spring to get rid of some of the rust.

I found this thing in there as well. Stamp on teh handle says “Perfect Parts T-85 USA”. Google is failing me other than a picture from ebay.

This is pure speculation, but it looks like it came in a set of nut drivers that included a handle that would go over the other end with the 2 pegs to assist in applying torque.

Picture #2 looks like a spanner wrench I use at work (not automotive) for installing a threaded retaining ring that locks a part into a tube where the inner wall is threaded. The retaining rings have 2 notches for the tool.

I don’t know of anything automotive that uses a threaded locking ring or collar.

This is a weird rare little tool.
but picture 2 looks like the tool we use to loosen radio attena’s,
the 2 pin’s fall in slots on the atenna housing.
also think i seen the issue in either one of eric’s vids or in a vid by scotty kilmer.

I posted this on another forum as well and the answer that somebody came up with is

It is a carburetor jet or valve and seat remover. T-85 is a Carter Carburetor tool number but this is not a Carter Carburetor tool. The side with the 2 prongs fit in to the recess of a slotted jet or valve and seat. The other side removes a plug or the other side of the valve and seat.
