my trolly jack broke. reason its so important and I don’t want to just buy a new one is that I got it from my mom and she just past away this april..it broke right under where u crank it. its spewing hydraulic oil every time I push down on it. I know its a blown seal. my question is where can I get a new seal and how to fix it. im sure if I look at it that I can figure it out, im pretty mechanically inclined. I was just upset and had to walk away after I realized that it was broke. so if you gentlemen could plz help a guy out and give up any info you may have stored in your brains about this subject. id really be happy. thanks in advance guys. :'( if you need me to post a pic of wear the seal is broke, just let me know and ill get it here asap.

Bring to old rubber ring and piston to a car part dealer, a new rubber ring one will cost you maybe 25c,
buy a bottle a hydrolic jack oil and you good to go !

That the only thing I replaced on my cheap $40 2tons jack I bought 20 years ago.
It still works like a new 🙂

About all I could suggest is an internet search to see if the maker still exists. I imagine most of the newer jacks in a price range I could afford are disposables.

it seems that is the rubber oring of the pump is leaking right ?
so unscrew the nut and remove the little piston, beware it will spill oil for sure.
find an oring for this litte pump piston, sometime easier to bring the pistonto have the right size.
put piston back, refill with hydrolic oil, remove air …

search the web I’m sure there is some howto 🙂

                  interesting info about check valve
                  some info

Posting the brand name and weight capacity of the jack will be very helpful. I also recommend you head over to the site- garagejournal.com ( I am a member there under the same screen name- 619diofan ) there is a section in the tool area of the forum dedicated to hydraulic jacks. a member there is the mack daddy when it comes to repairing them. very good resource.

Lazzars sells replacement parts for many brands of jacks – I have no experience with the company (yet). It appears that you can contact them with a model number and they supply you with parts and assembly drawings for models not listed.
