Hi everyone, I’m pretty new to the forums and enjoying seeing what everybody is up to. Nothing elaborate on my end, but figured I’d share the sort of stuff that I’m working on.

      2002 Impala, 3.4L, ~196k miles
The old Impala is coming up on its 200k tune up, so will swap out all the typical maintenance items that I haven’t done in the past 100k. Already swapped out spark plugs recently to help clear a P0420 and replaced the belt & tensioner while doing that. Recently picked up the no-spill radiator funnel (thanks Eric) and bled out that system properly…it had an erratic “low coolant” light ever since I replaced the radiator last year and broke off bleeding bolts in process. If we have a 2nd baby, this would be the first car to go and likely replaced by a minivan. But till then, I am happy to keep it running and just take on any regular preventative maintenance tasks.

      2003 Pilot, 116k miles
Slightly overdue for its 105k maintenance, this car has been neglected due to the time constraints associated with being a new dad and putting off chores of any kind. I’ve got Eric’s J-series timing belt video and plan on tackling that Labor Day weekend when I’ve got a couple uninterrupted days to myself. Tune up, oil change, atf change, and front brakes round out the big ticket catch up work that I’ve got ahead of myself here. Should get me by for awhile then I’ve got another stack of things to do on it around 123k.

      1985 Ford E350 RV, 7.5L 460cu-in V8, 60k miles
We picked up this Class C motorhome a few years back for dirt cheap on craigslist. Was in great shape, just had several to-do’s that the last owner never addressed. New tires weren’t cheap, but after a full tune up and replacing some dry rotted fuel lines, it runs AMAZING. I’ll probably hold off on any other maintenance till next spring when it gets pulled out of the barn, but I know one thing I have kept delaying is fuel filter replacement (because I can’t find either of them!) 😛 Otherwise this is great ride…just will keep fluids changed every few years (since it never racks up big miles) and keep it lubed up.

You are a brave man Billo! Don’t hesitate to expose your new child to the purr of the air compressor and the whirr of the air gun! It is never too soon to start (but hearing protection might be in order)! 🙂
Keep us posted about your escapades….. Chevy-Honda-Ford my my you do like to mix it up!
