Step 1. Lift the radiator cap
step 2. Replace the car under it.Problem solved!
Seriously? Dude! You got to give more info than that or refer to my first two steps.
November 16, 2011 at 11:00 am #449750I KNOW ME PICK ME I KNOW ____________________flux capacitor________________________88mph here I come!!!!
November 16, 2011 at 11:00 am #449751There are tiny metal tangs sticking out from each of your brake calipers, scratching the rotors, causing the noise. Take a pair of dykes and clip those tangs off, then the noise is gone. Then move away before you neighbor learns to hate you.
@ hastonandrew2 Seriously, dude. Are you a troll? We don’t usually get those here….
November 16, 2011 at 11:00 am #449742Using screeching or squealing when stopped has to do with loose belts. Get the accessory belts tightened!
November 16, 2011 at 11:00 am #449743Is it auto or standard(Could be a throwout bearing)
Belts!
Bad bearing or pump!
Cat stuck under car! (Speaking of anyone seen this http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/33393441#33393441+1 to the guy with the radiator cap and car idea!!!!
November 16, 2011 at 11:00 am #449744I had this problem once!!!
It was the damnest thing when I slammed on the breaks it stopped ….But now I got a windshield to replace!!!
It ended up being my wife telling me to slow down..
Try it bro!!!November 16, 2011 at 11:00 am #449745It may be your girlfriend , or could be her belts, could be this, could be that. Information is key, please provide us with it so we all don’t just keep guessing…ty
November 16, 2011 at 11:00 am #449746Yeah, Might be the muffler bearing.
November 16, 2011 at 11:00 am #449747You might want to top off the blinker fluid while you’re under the hood.
November 16, 2011 at 11:00 am #449748check the brake rotor struts they always give me problems
November 16, 2011 at 11:00 am #449749It’s probably the kniblin pins getting corroded. You may need to remove them and have them polished. It could also be that the loose nut behind the wheel needs to get tightened.
November 18, 2011 at 11:00 am #449752I know this got marked as ‘solved’ but I didn’t see a solution posted. I would recommend checking the brakes as suggested but here are a couple of videos that might help if you haven’t found the source of the problem yet.
