My car is a 1989 Mitsubishi Lancer LB5H41 with 1.5 litre, 4G15 I4 8v SOHC carbureted engine.
Issues are
pinging with heavy load at less than 2500rpm. Timing? thermostat running engine too warm? Mixture Too lean?Running on. Rare only happens sometimes. thermostat running engine too warm? Too lean?
surging/missing while cruising / always at low load sometimes at high load. Ignition coil? igniter?
Smell of unburnt gas when hill climbing. weak Ignition coil? igniter?
Spark plug pictures in attachments replace no.4 as seal failed. re gaped the others. also new leads shortly after I got the car as the old leads were stuffed aka could not hill climb.
