Mufflers Mercury Mountaineer

I have a 2004 Mercury Mountaineer and I would like to swap out this old factory can for something that sounds good. Any suggestions?

You are lucky. The 60 degree V6 4.0 you have sounds better than any 90 degree V6 that manufacturers put in their SUV’s. I would look into either Flowmasters of Magnaflows. If you can’t find something you like from those two product lines, it’s probably better off that you keep it stock. Google those mufflers with your vehicle and engine. You’re not the first person that wants to put a muffler on a 4.0 V6 Mountaineer. Youtube probably has plenty of clips.
