Need some help. Original truck is 2003 Dakota with a 4.7 liter. Took the motor outta 2003 Dodge Dakota and reinstalled into a 2002 Dodge Dakota with a better body than I had. Got it all installed but having issues. When i go to start it like it fires but dies right away. Not sure why. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

      Thanks

When you changed the engine …
Did you swap the ECU and confirm that they are 100% compatible?
Did you confirm that the engine harnesses on both vehicles were 100% compatible?
One wire difference or ECU mismatch can cause serious issue(s)

If your stating the motor would fit, that wasn’t the question asked.
ECM programing is an exact science and can be different from one model to another with the same engine within the same production year.
Components used on a engine from one year to another can also change.
            Which begs the questions.
