When driving the engine stalls when rev to 2200rpm, battery light comes on and the rpm meter drops to zero immidetly for like 2 second or so it doesent respond to gas pedal, then it comes back alive just by it self. This issue doesent happen when the car is not moving (0 mph) I can rev all the way up with no problems.
Also Im suspecting that when I start the engine for the first time and try to drive streight away the engine stalls randomly, it doesnt have to get to 2200rpm to stall, its stalling right away when letting up the clutch on the first gear, and after while when the engine gets warm then it only stalls at 2200rpm when the car is moving. But Im not entirely sure about the second part as i only tryd once to drive without waiting for the engine to get warm.
I noticed 6 month’s ago that the transmission box lookd like its leaking, I have never changed/added transmission fluid to this car. (had the car for about 3 years) And I have been having engine light for a while (2 month?), but no error codes in onboard diagnostic. (instrument cluster) Would a odb tester be more helpful in reading faulty codes?
I think this stalling issue started couple of weeks ago when the winter came and it had been raining snow and the weather was cold. The car was sitting for like a week, when I first time started the engine rpm started fluctuating randomly up and down in idle, I shut down the engine and thought that I will take the battery home for recharge, next day it behaved the same way. This time I kept the gas pedal pressed for a while then it stopped fluctuating, but since then I have had stalling issues at higher rpm when the car is moving.
When the car is stalling only while moving does this mean that the issue has something to do with the transmission?
Any advice and thought are welcome.btw. Battery readings: at rest= 12.2. Battery when engine on and head lights on= 14.2. Radio, hazard ind, ac, wipers on= 14.2
