Been watching the show forever, never really been on the forum.
I too share this sickness, Currently, my fleet consists of:
1940 Chevrolet Special Deluxe – Car is factory all the way, 216 and 3 on the tree. Runs and drives great, regular show winner with original paint.
1933 Chevrolet 1 1/2 ton – Very slowly turning into something, Have a Caddy BB 472 slowly being built, and slowly the wood (Yes, wood.) is being replaced for the cab. (I know, I know “replace it with steel”. I’ve heard the story.)
1972 Chevy K30 (4×4 1ton) – The workhorse. Fantastic truck, but unfortunately for some reason 40 year old trucks need parts replaced, The clutch has been on it’s way out (Due to a rear main seeping I believe) for a while now. Need to do that, and go through the brakes bad.
1996 Pontiac Grand Prix GT Coupe – My main daily, has a throaty 3100 V6. Really starting to thing about getting rid of it, because I am so SICK OF DOING EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLES.
1995 Grand Prix – Parts car, nearly totally stripped. Need to get rid of one day.
1990 GMC S15 4×4 Blazer – Needs a fuel pump. Picked it up for nearly no money and had high anticipations of it, however I am thinking I may get rid of it too…
1993 S10 2wd – Drove it several years ago, it is donating it’s chassis to the ’33. (I think I might be the first person to put a BB 472 on a S10 chassis)
1996 Subaru Legacy – Great little whip for the lady. I should mention we live in MT, hence the 4×4’s.
1991 Cavalier – Parts car
1993 Z24 Cavalier – Project car for the lady, turbo project. One day, it might get done.
1996 Pontiac Grand Am – Getting sold, bought for nothing practically, and now just waiting for a buyer.
So, that is 11 cars that should be working on, and really, the only ones that get love are the ’72, the ’40, ’33 and the subie.Might be time to clean shop, eh?
