I have a ml320 long story short engine blew still cranked but sounded like diesel so i parked it at a mechanics shop he stole a bunch of parts so i took it from him bought new parts and new engine put the engine in and then took it to the dealer ship because it wouldn’t start at all period so they said to many hands been on this vehicle and they wont work on it and they told me it was missing the transmission control unit so i didn’t want to buy it because i thought it has nothing to do with engine starting and i was wrong after reading a couple articles i found that with out it the vehicle wont do nothing so i ordered it and installed now the engine cranks but no start so i thought its either gas or fire so there was gas so i tested for fire and i couldn’t find fire anywhere on all the ignition coils but the last one at the end of the engine ignition number 3 it will fire so i thought that all the other ignition coils are bad so i thought for a moment let me swap places and took the working one and put it in place of ignition coil 1 so there was no spark but when i put ignition coil number 1 in place of number 3 it fires so now i know theres nothing wrong with coil but im lost and don’t know what can it be please help me thanks in advance

Ok, so what kind of mechanic steals parts of a customers car ? That would the first question. Second is that have you looked at the book value on that particular vehicle versus what it takes to repair it.
