Very unlikely. It could cause a lack of power and poor fuel economy however.

a missfire can be caused buy many things, but as wysetech has stated already a air filter is a very unlikely cause but it wont hurt too change it if it is dirty.

whats your year make and model of your vehicle, how many miles and what engine?

a missfire can be caused buy a multitude of things, is your engine light on? do you have any codes?
