I have a 1998 buick century 3.1l…it has a misfire code a p0306…it had another code earlier it was a rich mixture code vut its not here anymore….things i have thought of…

Replaced spark plugs (ac delco was put in i couldnt remember if it was ac delco or denso).

      Replaced spark plug wires.

Checked for spark with a spark tester.

Swapped coil packs to see if the missfire change cylinders (it didnt).

      Thats it so far.

Cel is blinking so i just want to know what else it could be.

Something is telling sych is off. IMHO I’d try camshaft sensor or crankshaft sensor. Make sure battery contacts are good and clean. Lastly I’d check condition of belts. Especially timing belt (if it’s not the chain especially). Good luck

I have seen these engines pull the stud out of the head that holds the rocker arm on. It will cause a no compression situation in that cylinder. Check for compression on cylinder # 6 and confirm that the injector is being turned on and off.
