Mis colored ignition coil

I was changing out the spark plugs on my 2007 Honda Civic lx today. The previous owner used Bosch plugs. I replaced them with NGK plugs. When I took off the coil packs I found one to be very discolored. I was wondering if anybody know what causes this? Thanks for any help!

You had water down in the spark well at one time and rust formed.

Is there anything I need to do about it?

If you aren’t having problems, leave it be. It just mean that the system worked and kept the water out of the connection.

Nothing you can do at this point. When you reinstall the cop check
that the seal is fully seated.

Another possibility is there once was a bad seal, some oil got on it and it had been fixed. If it works, don’t worry about it. If it is/was oil and you want to know if there is still a leak, switch the coil with a different one and monitor the cylinder that was stained. Check often, you don’t want to kill a good coil, they are not cheap. Another possibility, if the car was purchased used, a coil could have failed and it was replaced with one from a salvage yard.
