Tough to give any kind of direction when your not giving any information.
Is it a factory security system or aftermarket?.
Are there any codes stored?
Is there a security indicator showing any issue?
Is there a system valet switch or mode?

It’s the factory alarm and only have a check engine light for a cata and no to the other questions

the dash flickering all over the place when I try to turn on the car. I tried to jump start the car today but it would not work. However, I did notice a large build up of corrosion on my battery

You may want to take care of that corrosion as a starting point. And even check your battery condition. Low voltage can make modern computers do some funny things.
