Mazda MX-3 cooling fan

      Hello I have a 1992 Mazda mx-3 Its hard to find parts so im going to put a universal fan its CFM rating is 880 I just wanted to make sure that that was enough thanks for your time

        unless your sitting in city traffic for hours at a time it should work just fine 🙂

          A quick google search for cooling fans for your car turned up listings from 650 CFM to 800 CFM, so I think your 880 should be plenty enough to keep it cool.

            I know of cars that never have overheating problems unless an aftermarket fan is installed. I don’t know if its that they don’t move as much air or if it is the missing shrouding. You are probably okay but personally I would stick with OEM.

              I think that should work fine. Even better if you’re able to use the existing housing. The shroud is just as important as the fan when it comes to airflow. Just be sure you get the polarity correct. You want it pulling air through the radiator. Sometimes they get hooked up backwards and won’t work properly.
