So I found a vacuum leak that I was told to check for on this forum. It wasn’t a leak, which would explain no check engine light. It was a kinked elbow that would only kink when the engine’s on. It’s the elbow hose that’s connected to my pcv valve going into the valve cover. Spent 80$ for a more durable elbow. This one doesn’t kink. Turned my truck on and the engine is still acting the same. Rough idle. When I take off from a stop the oil gauge flickers and the engine bounces. I do drive a standard and the shaking might be from me not taking off properly. But would this cause my oil gauge to flicker? I replaced the oil gauge sensor and no change. Could the rough idle be caused by an electric problem? If so where do I start to look and how do I look?
Oh yeah and it rained like hell Saturday. I mean bad heavy rain. Got caught driving in it and when i parked my truck in the driveway, at a stop, my truck started making an awful electric droning noise for a few seconds then the noise went away. Never heard it before and hasn’t happened since. Any ideas?
