My Mazda 6 2004 radiator fan stays on running full speed loud as hell what’s the problem with this, I searched around and saw they had a recall for the fan control module would this fix the problem? What’s some stuff I can check before I go crazy an have an auto electric person check it out ? Any suggestions

You are likely to need a wiring diagram and at least a multimeter to look at this. It could be the fan controller, but it also could be something like the ECT sensor, wiring, etc.
You could try unplugging the fan controller, but I’m not sure if the fail safe is some mid range fan speed or full blast. If this is a variable speed fan, the ECM probably sends some pulse width modulated signal to the controller, so another thing to look out for.

        EDIT

Just looked at a picture of a fan controller at Rock Auto, they look fairly self contained and not very expensive. It looks to have it’s own temperature probe so the ECM may not be involved at all. If you can’t trace it down, it would be an option to put a new controller in and see what happens before you send it to a shop.

Yes, the cooling fans can run constantly when the module goes bad.
Go to Mazda’s recall page here to see if they are covering your vehicle under the recall
          https://www.mazdausa.com/owners/recalls

Without a factory service manual and a high grade scan tool, you might not be able to test the module yourself.
If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you can find an aftermarket replacement for $25.99 to your door. Part # to look for is AJY2-15-SC0
If your 04 6 is a V6 that looks like a good option–cheaper than hiring an auto electric shop to diagnose it.
Replacing the module is basically just a matter of disconnecting the electrical connector and undoing a couple of bolts or screws.

Replace your fan module. It has gone bad. Essentially your fans operate uncontrollably. There is no recall available for your vehicle that I know of. I replace one about every 3 weeks or so.

Technically, they are replaced by Mazda under one of 2 Special Service Programs:
TSB Number Date Technical Service Bulletin Title
SSP71 APRIL 2007 Campaign – Cooling Fan Control Module Replacement
SSP60 AUGUST 2004 Campaign – Fan Control Module Replacement

Thanks for the info. Out of All the ones we do, neither the foreman or his son has said anything about special policies. I’ll check when I get to work and access Mazda directly. Usually with their stuff they have milage and time restrictions. Will report back later.

I’m not sure that is allowed on the forum
Just search Amazon with the keyword AJY2-15-SC0 which is the updated replacement part number.
It’s listed with the title New Cooling Fan Control Unit Module for Mitsubishi Outlander Lancer & Mazda 6 MPV 1355A124 which you can also cut and paste into the Amazon search box.

Cammed 05 , you’re very welcome. You may be right about mileage restrictions and such, but the OP certainly has nothing to lose by calling MazdaUSA or entering his VIN to see if it’s listed.
Since it’s technically a Special Service Program, rather than a recall, a phone call to MazdaUSA might yield a better result.

                        You’re welcome.
Given the potentially lethal consequences of the Takata airbag issues, I’d be scheduling that appointment asap.
At least the aftermarket fan module is inexpensive.
