Hi guys/gals,
Just bought 2002 Accord 4cyl. 190,000 miles on it. Seems well maintained. I have a little but of a rough shift from 1st to 2nd, usually when its cold. Nothing jarring, no codes, and its fine through out the shift to highway speeds. I read somewhere about a pressure switch being at fault for these, tho when the car was being “Safey checked” at the Dealer they told me they needed to change a couple of Transmission “Accuators” as they called them. Is this the pressure switches? I’ve put 200 miles on it since it was supposedly done at the dealer. I have asked the dealer about clarification on what was done before I took delivery, waiting to hear a response. I can change out the pressure switch no problem, it looks simple enough. I just want some peace of mind that I didn’t just buy a vehicle that needed a $2k or more trans rebuild as well.
Thanks guys and sorry in advance if this has been covered here in the forum.
