Maximum current draw blower motor

Would anyone be able to provide me with the current specifications for the heater blower motor in a 2005 Chevy Silverado? I just replaced the resistor because one of the wires melted. I suspect the blower is drawing excess current but I don’t want to replace it before verifying. I can’t find the limits in my searches.

see if this helps. what happens is the connector starts to melt then the resistance goes
up and causes heat.

I’ll check to see if the amperage draw at high blower is in the 18 to 24 amp range. Thanks
