I’m not really understanding your question but you need to use the correct fluid for any auto transmission, preferably OEM as using the wrong fluid or an aftermarket fluid will effect the shifting characteristics of the transmission.

Manual transmission does not have compression, gear oil is used for lubrication only, Having said that many manual transmissions will take either gear oil or even automatic transmission oil. Honda on other hand, has additional additive specifically designed for the Honda so you must use Honda Transmission Oil.

Most of Ford’s manual transmissions with the aluminum case in their trucks use regular automatic transmission fluid. There are some that use motor oil.GM and Chrysler use special fluid from the dealer.Another thing always check the fluid level in a manual transmission during every oil change.I have seen a burned up 5 speed out of a Ford truck, oil change place never checked the fluid level.
