This brings up a question in my mind. What about mandatory inspections similar to the toughest US state inspections or Britain’s MOT inspection. Around here, lots of vehicles probably would fail US state and definitely would fail Britain’s inspection. But it should get more unsafe cars repaired or off the road than all of our “Cash for Clunkers” programs combined.
